01. Good morning to you, Bobina. How's the whirlwind of life treating you? Did the recent volcanic ash affect your DJ gigs?
Hello hello – yeah everything is really fine nowadays! I had nothing bad regarding that volcano – just stayed few more days in Dubai after my show as flights to Moscow were delayed – that was far not bad, you know :)

02. Looking back at your time in the spotlight, how has the trance scene changed since you first entered it?
Interesting question. I think the whole electronic scene is changing nowadays. Every style sounds a bit different from what we heard 10 years ago for example. Same for trance: you will hear a lot of difference between record which was made in 99 and in 2009. Trance (at least which I love nowadays) its already not 100% trance – its just a mix of various styles. But I never was a fan to sort music for ‘styles’ – for me it always was just electronic music.

03. Did you think Russia Goes Clubbing (the radio show) would be as successful as it's been?
As RGC in Russia now is every week on D FM – and that’s one of the major fm stations in Russia – its quite easy to analyse the statistics as all big stations has ratings. I see it goes quite well nowadays and this thing means a lot for me as it takes so many time to prepare the show every week and to make it sounds like it sounds.

04. How would you compare Russia Goes Clubbing 2010 to the previous compilations? And what does RGC 2010 mean to you?
Hmm.. guess this one is more trancey. All Russia Goes Clubbing CDs (and 2010 as well) I make for car listening. Also from year to year it became really hard to make the tracklist exclusive. Dance music runs really fast now and labels started to work fast as well. You might know that we need like 1 month to do all the stuff (if mean 1 month from the moment you did a master to a moment CD is in stores). So when you mix a CD you have a lot of exclusives – and a month later – people already heard most of the tunes. That’s why I always prefer to use the records I 100% love instead of trying to mix 100% exclusive tracklist from unknown OK tunes – anyway a month later most of them wont be exclusive.

05. Are there any early influences in particular that led you to trance?
Actually the only one – Armin van Buuren “Communication”. After I heard this tune suddenly on piracy CD ages ago – I started to listen and try to produce this music.

06. What do you think makes the Russian trance sound different from the other trance sounds?
Don’t really think Russia has special sound in trance. Back in the days the main Russian trance hit PPK “Resurrection” sounded different from the stuff people heard in trance that time. Nowadays we have a lot of talented people here in my opinion. But their sound is not really ‘Russian’. At least if you won’t show me the name of any producer from here and play the tune – I won’t say “Wow! That’s for sure Russian production”

07. Looking ahead, are there any future plans you'd like your fans to know about?
At the moment I’m busy with new artist album for 2011. Plus plan to do few remixes. We just finished official music video for my new single “Angel of the North” which you can see soon on www.bobina.tv. And if you don’t wanna wait now – you could go there and see some other videos from USA, South Africa. I’m really happy with the project – takes a lot of time and fun to make it.

08. If you died today, how would you want the world to define the Bobina legacy?
To be honest, I never was that ‘dreamy’ man. I never dream that much – prefer to work. So it’s impossible for me even to imagine that I died today, sorry.
